Okay, you know the layers of a macchiato. You've tasted the airy lightness of a cappucino. But if you're really looking to mix up your drink and impress, or perhaps stump, your barista, order one of these exotic drinks:
Cafe Miel: Meaning "coffee with honey" in french, also cafe con miel in spanish, this delightful drink is a latte made with honey, vanilla, ground cinnamon and ground nutmeg. It's best with as whole a milk as you can order. And suprise! It's our drink of the week from 10/27-10/31 at Sacred Grounds.
Cafe Borgia: A mocha with orange rind and sometimes orange flavoring, it's topped with whipped cream and cinnamon for a truly tangly treat.
Cafe con Panna: Is literally " coffee with cream." But instead of your typical brew, this is a single or double shot of espresso with whipped cream on top to take the edge off.
Cafe Marocchino: It's much simpler than it sounds: espresso, steamed milk, and just a bit of cocoa powder.
Cafe Breve: Take your latte and make it with half and half or straight cream. Magnifico.
Affogato: Ice cream topped with espresso shots. it doesn't get much better.
Origins: Great Lakes Tea and Spice Co.
